It was another “routine” day with puppies – weighing them all (morning and evening), snuggling them, nail clipping, doing some bottle feeding, cleaning the whelping box and all the while making sure mommy Reine is well-fed and watered.  We make more trips to the grocery store for Reine than we do for us.  She’s been eating Red Paw dog food with added cooked chicken thighs, cottage cheese, yogurt, beef, beef liver, eggs and occasionally some salmon.  We continue to mix some ice cream into her cottage cheese and yogurt, a treat she rarely turns down.

The puppies grow sweeter by the day as they engage with us and each other.
