The puppies’ play has increased tremendously since they moved downstairs. They wrestle and chase around constantly when they’re awake. Some chew on the toys. They all chew on us when we’re holding them. Their teeth are “in” enough to inflict discomfort on our ear lobes, fingers, ankles and armpits. They’ll chew anything they can reach. After a session of play they walk to a sleeping spot, pile on each other and drop dead asleep. Finley nurses them (standing up) just a few times a day. They always run straight to her when she walks in and they clamor for the teets, even when they’ve just been fed dog food and goats milk a half hour before.
