Biff took Xupe up grouse hunting yesterday, eager to sneak in one more day of hunting before the season ends. Although they spotted a couple of grouse, they came back without one. The crusty snow probably hurt their chances of getting a bird as the grouse could hear their crunching footsteps. Still, Biff and Xupe had a great time hunting familiar areas and trying out a new stretch.

Although Minnesota’s pheasant and grouse seasons are ending, hunting season in Nebraska goes through the end of January.  And Nebraska isn’t that far away for an avid hunter…
